Pomegranate is full of antioxidants, making it useful in skin and hair care products both for its anti-aging properties and its moisturizing effect.
Originally from Iran, the pomegranate fruit is loaded with Vitamins C and K. In particular, the seeds and peel are loaded with antioxidants, up to three times the amount found in green tea. This helps prevent cell damage and restore damaged cells, a key step in any anti-aging care regimen. It also has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antifungal properties, helping to calm and heal the skin. Pomegranate is also used in skin and hair products for its moisturizing properties, as well as for it’s nourishing benefits.
